Barbwire as a Clown in New York (NYC)

Even though I graduated from College about a year ago I am still interested in being an entertainer, other than just entertaining myself. I've been teaching myself how to juggle and make quite different and unique shapes with just a twist of a balloon. New York is an interesting place to get known for outlandish behavior. The clown acts I enjoy performing are usually a burlesque type of act, as for kids I will perform as a "Normal" clown. Clowning is fun and it's quite easy to learn.

A Gay Old-Valentine's Day

Usually on valentine's day I don't really make a big deal because it's one of those holidays I feel is put here to boost the economy and get people to buy for no reason. Even still, I decided to go out with my gay lover Corey Smith to a romantic evening at White Castle. I know what your thinking...is she serious?! White Castle! Yes! White Castle! I live across the boulevard from one, Corey asked me about a few weeks in advance and thought it was a LOVELY idea, considering they were providing a Valentine's Day Promotion (http://www.whitecastle.com/promotions/valentine) offering luxuries such as waiter service, flowers and candlelight.

I told Corey I was going to dress up as the devil for our date, Corey being a John Waters fan, thought it would be an awesome idea to propose to me with an onion ring. How cute right!? Well the "waiter" didn't even bring the onion rings, but we did get a free campaign glass of sprite each, all in all it was fabulously trashy. The best part was definitely taking suggestive pictures with the mozzarella-dicks...oOps...I meant sticks.

After dinner we went to the Vampire's Ball and that was an experience, everything from the wardrobes to the performances to performing myself. The performances were entertaining and each amusing in their own way. Kayvon Zand (www.KayvonZand.com) had a very interesting performance, it was almost like Marilyn Manson meets Sargent Peppers. The visuals of the two Asian girls dancing topless in a lace tube was hypnotic, then when his bride came out, this gorgeous white woman with blond Shirley Temple curls strips down to her birthday suit and gets abused my Kayvon Zand. This performance was both disturbing and sensual.

Next was Sky Claudette Soto and Vlad Marco performing AMAZING FIRE ACT! I've never seen such a fire performance! Sky was in this armor bikini doing splits whirling her fire fan, amazing the audience at every turn. At one point she was on Vlad's shoulders and also attached herself to him at the waist as he whirled and twirled her about the audience cheered in enjoyment. This was one of those acts where you had to be there to really experience the thrill of the performance.

Is that all that happened? HELL NO! There was also a belly dancing act, if you could imagine queen of the damned, that type of look, kind of Vampire meets Greek Goddess. They had these white and red fans, reminded me of Rhythmic gymnastics, where the women were using the fan as a ribbons where they were controlling the movements overhead. This performance was beautiful to watch and I truly enjoyed it.

Last but certainly not least was the "escape artist", where I was called up to assist the magician in handcuffing. Being a magician's assistant is something I always wanted to do for fun. I have always had an interest in magic even when I was younger my father used to take me to magic conventions and as a child I would be so amazed to find out the secrets behind the tricks. This particular magician wasn't all that amazing or funny but I enjoyed being on stage and helping him with his trick. Maybe one day I'll be asked to be sawed in half....now that sounds like fun ;-)
